WRITINGS

Wong Wa's writing-sculptures are like calligraphic notes on a musical sheet. Atonal, singular, light, aerial and yet solidly laying on their pedestal. Their balance is clear, their structure is present. Their roundness draw a double path of chromed silverlight and cast shadows. Those writings-sculptures live a double life of light and shadow.

Trace we can capture but who always escapes, the shadow is neither identity, nor analogy. It makes visible objects and beings. Wong Wa's writings-sculptures gain, by this game, another life : their shadow is even more beautiful than their daylight : united, colourless, blurred, it plays the role of intermediary between real and imaginary.

Their stage, even better, their focus, is essential to understand all the subtleness.
