PAPERS

Cut paper is a form of sculpture made of shadow and lights, a puzzle to become. The traditional painter is to Wong Wa somehow a prisoner of the brush : once the painting or the ink is laid on the rice paper, the die is cast, it materializes the paintbrush movement but the artwork is frozen. Cut paper gives a larger freedom, more latitude in the composition and creation of movement.
