MASKS

It is sometimes difficult to know if they are man or animal. Masks are often a metaphor and their edges are as important as the void they circle. All the art in Wong Wa's work relies in the accuracy of those edges who give the mask a look without eyes.

They play with colour, with matter. They are made of wood, of plastic, of concrete or rusty metal. Hieratic, they are here, in front of you, and you cannot ignore them as their immobile strength stands high.
